B. Data Processing
We process data as part of the operation of our website. Data processing includes disclosure and transfers.
For data transfers to the US, the European Commission issued an adequacy decision, the EU-US Privacy Shield. The European Commission thereby certifies that the safeguards for data transfers to the US under the EU-US Privacy Shield correspond to the data protection standards of the EU. If we transfer data to the US, we will name our service providers as participants in the EU-US Privacy Shield. Furthermore, we will take additional measures when transferring to third countries to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation. We will especially conclude processing agreements or EU standard contractual clauses with processors in third countries.
The data, processing purposes, legal bases, recipients and transfers to third countries are stated hereafter:
a) Log Files
We log your visit to our web pages. The following data is processed thereby: Name of the retrieved web page, time and date of retrieval, volume of data transferred, browser type and version, your operating system, referrer URL (last visited website), your IP address and the requesting provider. This is necessary to ensure the website’s security. We will process the data on the basis of our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. The log file will be erased after 7 days, unless it is needed to prove specific legal violations that become known during the storage period.
Any data to be processed in relation to the operation of this website will be saved as part of hosting. This is necessary for ensuring the operation of this website. We will process the data on the basis of our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. To provide our online offer, we use services of webhosting providers to whom we transfer the above-stated data. We concluded corresponding processing agreements with these service providers for compliance with our data protection obligations.
You may contact us through the contact form on our website if you have questions about our company or our products or would like to register for our sports team. If you contact us, we will only use your data (name, contact details, if provided) and your message to process your inquiry. This processing may be performed on several legal bases. These may include the performance of or taking steps prior to entering into a contract in the sense of Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 Letter b of the General Data Protection Regulation, e.g., if you would like to register for our sports team, otherwise, on the basis of our legitimate interests in the sense of Art. 6(1) Sentence 1 Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation to appropriately respond to and process your inquiries.
d) Application Submissions
When contacting us to submit a job application, e.g., by email or through a contact form, your data (e.g., name, email address, desired workplace, if stated), message and submitted application documents will only be processed to processes your application inquiry. Please use the email address stated in the respective job advertisement.
This data processing is based primarily on Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act [Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG] which permits data processing for purposes of establishing and performing an employment relationship. Data necessary for the decision about the establishment of an employment relationship may be processed under this regulation. You may request additional information about data processing during the application process after submitting your application to us.
The purpose of processing your application data will cease to apply upon the completion of the application process. Due to potential prosecution under the German General Act on Equal Treatment [Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG], we will save your data for 6 months following the completion of the application process to safeguard our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation, i.e., for the assertion or defense of legal claims. If you submit an unsolicited application to us, we will erase your data after the rejection if we cannot offer you a suitable available position. Your data will only be processed for a longer period, e.g., in an applicant pool, with your express consent.
e) Website Analysis and Marketing
We use so-called cookies to enable use of certain functions. Cookies are short data packages that are saved on your device and exchanged with other providers. Some of the cookies used by us will be erased immediately when you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies will remain on your device and allow your browser to be recognized during your next visit (persistent cookies). You may erase any cookies saved on your device and configure common browsers to disable cookies. However, in this case, you may have to reconfigure certain settings every time you visit our website and accept certain functional limitations.
1. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google uses certain cookies for this. The information on your use of this website (including your IP address) generated by the cookie will be transferred to a Google server in the US and saved there. We use this stored information to assess your use of our website, compile website activity reports for the website operators and to perform other services related to the use of our website. The data obtained thereby will be processed by us on the basis of our overriding interest under Art.6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation in the optimal marketing for our online offer. Under no circumstances will Google merge your IP address with other Google data.
Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “anonymizeIp()” which shortens IP addresses before they are transferred to a server in the US. The saved data can therefore not normally be used for direct personal identification. Only in exceptions will your full IP address be transferred to a server in the US and shortened there.

e) Embedded External Content
We use external dynamic content to optimize the presentation of and the offers on our website. When visiting our website, a request will automatically be sent to the respective content provider’s server to which certain log files (e.g., user IP addresses) will be transferred. The dynamic content will then be transferred to and displayed on our website.
We use external content for the following functions:
aa) Embedded YouTube Videos
On our offer, we embedded YouTube videos that are saved on http://www.YouTube.com and may be played directly on our website. All of these videos are embedded under the “extended data protection mode” which means that no data about you as a user will be transferred to YouTube if you do not activate these videos. Only by activating a video will the data specified in the next paragraph be transferred. We have no influence on these data transfers.

bb) Use of Google Fonts
To display external fonts, our Internet presence uses Google Fonts. Google Fonts is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google.” Through its certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active Google guarantees compliance with EU data protection requirements when processing data in the US.
To enable fonts to be displayed uniformly on our Internet presence, a connection with Google’s server in the US will be established when you access our Internet presence. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimized display of our Internet page and, therefore, economic operations of our Internet presence.
Through the connection established with Google when accessing our Internet presence, Google may determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the font must be sent.

Our website only includes links (icons) to our social media profiles. Activating these icons will merely open the external social media platform. This does not include an automatic interaction indicating that you like our website. You can only “like” us a logged in user on our social media profiles. Use of the icons will not produce a direct data flow, though we cannot exclude that Facebook may have already installed cookies on your browser and collects and processes data on you. Furthermore, we offer a link to our brand shop on the Amazon platform. We also provide a link (in the sense of a reference/URL) to our web shop. Data is not transferred between Amazon and us thereby.
g) Data Transfers to Third Parties
Our website is hosted externally. The hosting services we use serve to provide the following: Infrastructure and platform services, computing capacities, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance to operate this online offer.
Our host, the Hetzner GmbH, processes all data collected through use of our website or on forms offered in our online shop, as described hereafter. Our service provider is based in a member state of the European Union or of the European Economic Area. Hosting is performed on the basis of our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1) Letter f of the General Data Protection Regulation pursuant to Art. 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation in providing this online offer efficiently and securely.
bb) Other Transfers
If, in addition to our host, third parties transfer your data, this will only be done if we are authorized to do so under data protection law, i.e., with an adequate legal basis in the sense of Art. 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation, and if we—if necessary—signed the respective contractual bases for processing your data with third parties (e.g., processing agreement, joint responsibility agreement).
C. Data Storage Duration
We will only save personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which the data is processed or until you withdraw your consent. Furthermore, we will process data on the basis of our legitimate interests, if present, and if no effective objection is raised. Such legitimate interests may present, e.g., if we need your data for the defense against legal claims. If legal storage obligations apply, certain data may have to be saved for up to 10 years, irrespective of the processing purpose.

At any time and free of charge you may request information about any personal data we have saved concerning you.
b) Rectification, Erasure, Restriction of Processing (Blocking) & Objections
If you no longer consent to the storage of your personal data or if your personal data has become inaccurate, we will erase or block your data or perform the necessary rectification (to the legally permissible extent) if instructed by you. The same applies if you would like us to process your data with restrictions.
If we process personal data, as explained above, to safeguard our overriding legitimate interests, you may object to this processing for the future. If processing is performed for direct marketing purposes, you may exercise this right at any time. If processing is performed for other purposes, you are only entitled to a right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation. The above regulations do not apply to data whose data subject we are unable to identify, e.g., if anonymized for analysis purposes. Access, erasure, blocking, rectification or transfers to another company are possible for such data if you provide additional information to us to enable identification.
